I purchased a pair of Timberland PRO Reaxion Composite Safety Toe shoes just after the first of the year. The sole is already peeling from one of the shoes and on the other, there's literally a large gash in the shoe.
They're hardly 3 months old.
I don't work in a rough environment; most of my day is spent standing, kind of static. There's no way that a quality shoe would show this kind of degradation so quickly.

I used to love Zappos. I could order 3 pairs of shoes, they would come in one box, one delivery, overnight.
I just ordered 3 pairs of shoes. They came at different times within about 6 days, in three different boxes. To return without a label, it's a pain to try to keep track of which code goes with which box. So, I printed out individual labels for each box.
Unless I am desperate, I won't be shopping at Zappos.
It used to be my "go to" shoe store because of ease of ordering and returning. No more.

I ordered a pair of shoes from Zappos through the Amazon at Work program. I received an email claiming the package was delivered, but I didn't receive anything.
I called customer service and was told to wait 24 hours because sometimes they mark a package as delivered before it's actually delivered. 24 hours later, there was still nothing, so I called them again. They sent out a replacement, but the same thing happened. It said delivered, but I did not receive anything.
They advised me to wait another 24 hours, then call for a third replacement. I will not be shopping here again.

I work at Amazon so I have to get subsidy composite shoes every year. I've been doing it since 2021 although it's hard to order Work shoes online by information in a picture I can say that anytime I've ever had to exchange a shoe due to size, it has always been fairly easy to do. This pair I absolutely loved and it was a half size too snug and I actually had it for almost 3 months because I kept forgetting to make the call but when I did, he immediately switched it out and my new pair will be here Monday and these will go back to the UPS store Monday as well so transaction done transaction easy Customer service is very pleasant
